Former Member of the House of Commons of Canada, Ruby Dhalla, spoke at an event today and endorsed Mayor Patrick Brown for the Mayor of Brampton re-election.
Ms. Dhalla served as the Member of Parliament for Brampton—Springdale in the House of Commons of Canada from 2004 to 2011 as a member of the Liberal Party said Mayor Brown is a champion of the voiceless, minorities, women, diversity and young people.
Despite facing challenges and struggles, Mayor Brown has been driven by his passion, not for politics, but public service. Having a young family and being a young father, Mayor Brown dedicates his time and energy to the community and attends more than 18 events daily, which speaks volumes, says Ms. Dhalla. About her personal experience with Mr. Brown, Ms. Dhalla noted that when her brother, Neil Dhalla, passed away, Patrick was one of the first to call and check on her family despite having a busy schedule.
