Ukraine is turning to an emergency shutdown to stabilize its power grid after a Russian missile attack on Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He said many areas had been affected, with local authorities warning that about half of the Kyiv region would remain without power in the coming days.
In Kyiv, people have been putting up in shelters in metro stations when there are alarms of Russian missile invasions.
Four people were killed in Monday's attack.
Overnight, more rockets hit critical infrastructure near the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, officials said.

Experts have told the BBC that Russia's tactics of attacking energy infrastructure are likely to be aimed at striking and intimidating the population rather than gaining any tangible military advantage.
