Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a threat at Silverthorne Collegiate Institute

Police were called at Mill Rd & Burnhamthorpe Rd E at around 1:35 p.m. at Silverthorne Collegiate Institute in Etobicoke.



The police are investigating a threat made to the school. In a letter sent to parents, guardians and caregivers, Silverthorne Collegiate principal Sam Iskandar said the building was the target of an attempted break-in by students from another school.


The school was placed on hold and secure which was lifted shortly after 3 p.m.


There are no injuries.


Police further updated that the two suspects have been arrested as part of their ongoing investigation.


Iskandar said students are not allowed to visit other schools uninvited, especially as exam period approaches.
