Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces Monday, September 19, 2022, will be a FEDERAL holiday.


It is declared as the day of mourning for the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's II funeral. The federal offices and crown corporations will be closed.








Premier Doug Ford announced that Monday will not be a provincial holiday, however, people can observe a moment of silence. The banks and schools will remain open in Ontario.



The B.C. government declared closing schools and most crown corporations on Monday to honour the national day.
