Toronto police report a woman was stabbed at Islington Avenue & Elmhurst Drive

TORONTO — The Toronto Police Department reported that someone had been stabbed near Islington Avenue & Elmhurst Drive.

When the police arrived on the scene, they discovered an injured woman.

The Toronto Medics also arrived on the scene and transported the patient to the hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.

The suspect has fled the scene.

An investigation is currently underway.
