Marilyn did not have any children and had three husbands, James Dougherty (1942-1946), Joe DiMaggio (1954-1955), and Arthur Miller (1956-1961); all of them are deceased. Marilyn divorced James Dougherty after falling in love with the limelight and not stifling her dreams of becoming a star, as per sources, cheatsheet.

The reason behind divorcing Joe DiMaggio is believed to be Joe's mental cruelty towards her, as per her court filings. Her divorce from Arthur Miller is assumed to be due to Marilyn's substance abuse.
