A Hollywood career is on the horizon for Malia Obama, the older daughter of former US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
A 24-year-old Malia graduated from Harvard in 2021 and began working as a writer on the Amazon Prime Video television series Swarm.
Donald Glover's production company, Gilga, is helping Malia develop her first short film.
In a new interview with GQ published this week, Donald confirmed the news and revealed the advice he gave his protege to approach the opportunity, especially considering her family name's importance. "The first thing we did was talk about the fact that she will only get to do this once. You're Obama's daughter. So if you make a bad film, it will follow you around," he recalled.
