An internal crisis within Twitter

Hundreds of its employees are set to leave their jobs this week at Twitter as more scandalous stories swoop in. The Twitter office in San Francisco is now closed after Musk issued the employees an ultimatum to its employees on Thursday, November 17th, 2022. The employees who survived the first round of layoffs are now rethinking what they signed up for when they joined Twitter.

As per Global News, people are taking jabs calling Musk a "petty racist" and a "mediocre manchild" with "pressurized privilege."

At the end of a workday, hundreds of Twitter employees accepted an exit option, rejecting an ultimatum to work "extremely hardcore" or accept a severance package and leave.

"Kylie Robison, a tech reporter for Fortune Magazine, estimates that about 75% of Twitter's remaining 3,700 employees will leave because of this ultimatum."

Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, closed the $44 billion overpriced deal and finally acquired Twitter, after which he sacked the company's top executives and laid off 7,500 employees. The Twitter office has been closed temporarily, with badge access disabled until Monday. The reason has not been disclosed, but as per the sources, security officers reportedly kicked employees out of the office Thursday evening.
