Police report multiple balconies on fire at Jarvis and Wellesley

TORONTO — On the corner of Jarvis and Wellesley, several balconies were on fire.

At 1:05pm there were reports of multiple balconies on fire at Jarvis St & Wellesley St. No injuries have been reported. Firefighters arrived at the scene and began battling the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The intersection of Jarvis & Wellesley was closed, including Jarvis between Maitland and Gloucester.

There was a closure on Wellesley between Church and Homewood. Later, police confirmed that all roads had been reopened after the fire was extinguished. There have been no reported injuries.
