PEEL REGIONAL POLICE — Residents are being warned by Peel Police that scammers can pretend to be from anywhere, including the police, when they make calls that appear to be coming from them.
Whenever someone identifies themselves as a police officer, ask the officer for his or her number and extension so you can be sure they can be reached and call them back so you can be sure they are who they claim to be.
Police in Peel have issued a warning to residents via Twitter today.
