Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by driver in Toronto; driver later charged for DUI

According to reports, a man is reportedly in serious condition after being hit by a motorist in Toronto on Tuesday night.


Toronto police said in a tweet that they had been called to the area of ​​Eglinton Avenue West and Miranda Avenue near Dufferin Street to report a collision.

A motorist struck a pedestrian in the area, police said. Toronto police said officers arrested the driver for DUI.


Toronto paramedics told Global News they had taken the patient to a trauma center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.


The call was made at around 8.50 pm.
