Priscilla Presley confirmed her daughter's death Thursday night.
Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, singer-songwriter and songwriter, has died. She was 54 years old.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla confirmed in a statement Thursday evening.
"She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment."
Presley was rushed to the hospital Thursday morning after suffering a possible cardiac arrest. Paramedics responded to Normandy's 5900 block in Calabasas to treat a woman in her 50s who was not breathing, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE. When they arrived, paramedics began CPR and noted "signs of life" and transferred the woman to a local hospital for "immediate medical care."
A Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson confirmed that the unit was dispatched to the address for a cardiac arrest call.
