'India is a part of me...', says Google CEO, Sundar Pichai; received Indian Honor Padma Bhushan

India's Ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, presented Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai with one of the country's highest civilian awards, the Padma Bhushan Award, in San Francisco.

"India is a part of me and I carry it with me wherever I go," Sundar Pichai said in San Francisco while accepting the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award from the Indian envoy to the United States.

Sandhu wrote on his Twitter: We are delighted to hand Padma Bhushan over to Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, in San Francisco.

Pichai's inspiring journey to strengthen business and technology ties between India and the United States is a reaffirmation that Indian talent contributes to global innovation.”

India-born Pichai won his third civilian award in India in 2022 in the Commerce and Industry category. He was one of his 17 winners earlier this year.
