GEORGINA: Suspects sought following home invasion attempt

ONTARIO Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects and any witnesses following an attempted home invasion in the Town of Georgina.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, just after 2 a.m., police were called to a residence on Lake Drive South for a weapons call. The complainant reported that two male suspects were trying to get into the residence and had fired shots at the home.


The suspects were unsuccessful and did not gain entry to the home. They fled from the residence on foot prior to police arrival.



The suspects are described as males wearing masks and black clothing.

This is believed to be a targeted incident.


The investigation is ongoing.


Anyone with information is urged to come forward. Investigators would also like to speak with anyone with video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the incident.
